Ontario Government and Association of Ontario Midwives Reach New Three-Year Agreement
The Ministry of Health and the Association of Ontario Midwives have announced a new three-year funding agreement (April 1, 2025 – March 31, 2028), which includes additional investment in Indigenous Midwifery Programs (IMPs). These programs help address gaps in maternal and newborn care, advance health equity for First Nations, Inuit, and Métis communities, and strengthen collaboration and integration of midwifery services across Ontario. This funding is expected to further support access to culturally safe, community-based care.
